missing my compute folder

I'm innocent -- I tell you--innocent. I was working on my tax return and my "my computer" folder disappeared from the desktop. It is not in the recycle bin or anywhere else I search. I put a short cut to it on the desktop using administration tools in the control panel. How can I get the original folder back onto my desktop? I have XP home. Thanks, Ron reb286

Install TweakUI and you can get it back that way. Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Is it not showing in Windows Explorer either? If it is you could create a shortcut to it and put it on the desktop. DerekW

Tweakui did it! There is a specific check box under desktop for My Computer. Thanks Jennifer reb286
