Hi, I have a small but irritating problem. I used to see the 2 tine screens in the systray when connected, but lately they are just not there. Any suggestions?

Secondly, when I minimize a webpage to the taskbar only the first letter of the address appears, example: Computing.net appears as: C and that's it! Help please

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Sorry, I don't know why my message indicated the wrong info at the top since I changed it when I bought this wretched Win XP Home. I'd sell my first birthright to go back to win 98se! The best ever!!

Btw as I said I now have this Win XP Home and 512 mb of ram.

Hi
For your first problem go to start>control panel> if you are in category view click Network & internet connections then click network connections right click on the connection and chose properties, on the general tab - check the box that says 'show icon in notification area when connected'

For your second problem - right click the task bar and go to toolbars, make sure nothing is ticked ie desktop or links.

Hope this helps

Dawie, "Secondly, when I minimize a webpage to the taskbar only the first letter of the address appears, example: Computing.net appears as: C and that's it! Help please"

If you have the Google Desktop Search installed, uninstall it, reboot your computer then reinstall the Google Desktop Search. This should correct the problem.
