missing install.exe file

OS: windows xp
CPU/Ram: pen 1 gb ran
Comment:

when i try to install a program i get this message:
Error creating process C:\docume~1\user\locals~1\temp\ixp0000.tmp\install.exe> reason: The system cannot find the file specified.
When i look in that folder the ixp000.tmp folder is empty. What is the install.exe file that it is looking for?????

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I ran a full scan for virus and torjans and found nothing.
Question is: What is this install.exe file and how can i get it back????

Almost impossible for us to know, delete the > ixp000.tmp folder.

Or, you can google to see if it picks up anything you installed recently.
