Specs: Windows XP
I had my computer off for a few days. Turned it on, it loads up, I enter my password and then it brings up my walpaper and thats it. No icons or menu bar. I can pull up the task manager and even the screen saver goes on, what do i do to fix this?!

Try this first:

right click on an empty space on your desktop
choose "arrange icons by
Make sure that the show desktop icons has a check mark beside it...if not click on it

Sounds like explorer.exe won't load properly. I have seen this myself many times. What I do is hit "ctrl + alt + Del". Hit file in task manager, new task and type in explorer.exe, hit enter. It will reload explorer and you should see you taskbar and icons again.
