Comment:

When I used recover from the hard drive for Windows XP I received an error message: ACPI error occured during install process. When I boot up computer freezes. I have tried & tried to reinstall but it but it still does not install these files. I have another computer that has these files. Can I copy the files from one computer to the other? If so how?

Might see the bios settings. It might be that when the system was installed the acpi setting was one way and now it has changed????

The ability to copy files isn't exactly easy. There are ways to use Bart's cd or maybe ultimate boot disk or a NTbootdisk. Depends on a few things too.

Repost your question if you don't get it fixed and rephrase it with more info too.
