2 ways to repair :

if you have the windows xp disk,
pop it in your pc and restart your computer. the pc will ask you if you want to repair manually (wich you don't want to do if you're not a DOS pro) or reinstall. choose reinstalling. By choosing that, the CD will scan and tell you "hey you already have a windows XP version , do you want me to repair it automaticaly instead? " and you choose yes and wait 40 minutes and bingo!

2nd option, little faster, or if you don't have your CD, go on the start menu, program files, accessories, system tools and click on System Restoration. a window pops up with a calendar. choose a date when the problem wasn't and click on restore.

Both solutions w'ont erase saved data. only restores Windows Files.

P.-S. if you see an attached file in email having a double extension such as something.doc.exe or something.exe.pps etc
DO NOT OPEN IT.

if you have sex with many downloaded porno files, you have more risk of getting a sick computer, viruses of dissapearing dlls always wash after with Disk Cleanup (start menu, program files, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup)
