The file, "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\09\01\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe" cannot access a necessary file, "mscoree.dll." is missing and for some odd reason, when I attempt to download updates from Windows Update it always says "failed!"

First, how can I retreive this missing file and could it have something to do with Windows Update not working?

Thanks to whomever :)

I believe Dotnet is AdWare.

JDawggS316, If you're getting that message after running WinDoctor the link below explains it. After all these years you'd think Norton would have corrected this. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Error: "Missing file: 'C:\ . . . \DotNetInstaller.exe' cannot access a necessary file . . ." after running WinDoctor
