Missing File msieexe32.exe at start

CPU/Ram: Intel Celeron / 256 RAM
Product: HP Pavilon 531W
Comment:

I have a message at start up. When my computer is getting started it tells me that the local profile for the user is not found.

Then when it gets to the desktop environment it says that file: C:\WINDOWS\msiexe32.exe is missing

Can anyone tell me what this file is used for?

I was doing a google search for that file name but I can't find any links for that name.

No such file found on the web.

Do you check for, and remove, Spyware ??
Spyware info.from Microsoft
Virus and Spyware scans work better in Windows Safe-Mode.

From memory this looks like a problem I had approx. 18 months ago. I think the file you need can be found on your HP printer driver cd.

Hi John,

Are you sure about that particular file? If you have your HP printer driver cd could you check to see if it is there?

The question about that file name was posed by my niece.

But, now she tells me the file name is some other one smiliar to the one she wrote but might be a worm mailing virus.
