nerd25, the link is just instructions on how to use the System File Checker. You can use the system you are on now to learn about it.
Basicly you just go to Star > Run and type in SFC /scannow
But it would probably be a good idea to look at that web page..

Put in your Windows CD, press Enter to Install Windows, press R for reinstallation of Windows so you don't lose your data. If no dice, back up your data and reinstall Windows
