Missing Dvd Drive Letter

I have two cd Drives,one is a cd-rw drive and the other is a dvd drive.My problem is how can I change the symbol of my dvd and cd drives in `My Computer` because the two drives dislays only cd-rom and nothing.I know there must be a way of changing these symbols.Please somebody should help

If you are refering to the Icon, there is no way that they can be changed. Unfortunatly M$ has disabled the option of changing drive Icons although you can change any other icon in the system.

yes, you can change the drive letter to anything you want. this is done in disk management within the computer management portion of 2000.

addendum - I said within 2000 as I thought I was in that forum but, it is in the same place in XP as 2000 so the info is still correct
