Hello,
I Just completed a re-format and re-installation of WinXP.
All is good and I put all of the network, Sound and USB 2.0 drivers back on my system using the "Drivers and Utilities" Resource CD that came with my computer.
However, there are two items I can not locate drivers for and every time I reboot the machine, it tells me it found new hardware and to locate the drivers.
They are as follows:
PCI Input Device
SM Bus ControllerI don't know what they are, and there is no selection on the resource CD that pertains to these drivers.
My machine is running fine other than this initial boot up message.
Any help on how to remedy this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Ok, I'm lost in that site and can't find anything that relates to "SM Bus Controllers" or "PCI Input Devices" for a Dell.

IF you have any question Related to Dell :

Thanks,
I will do that.
For now, I have disabled them and nothing seems to be malfunctioning. (Computer is running like new) I wonder what they are for.
I appreciate the help
Matt
