Hi people, I need help. I'm running Windows XP Pro. My tab in the Display Properties for the desktop to change the wallpaper has vanished. Now I know someone out there can fix this. Bob

Are you running any tweaks like "Customizer XP" / "MagicTweak" / "MS PowerToys" .. all these tweaks can hide these tabs, you might have accidently clicked one.
Also, if you go to "start" then the "run" box and type "gpedit.msc" (without "") .. it will take you into hidden settings for XP, I'm not sure of the exact path, but I've seen the options to "hide" several tabs under display settings.

You dont have to "re-install" .. just have the XP disc handy, put it in the Cdrom, when the window pops up asking you if you want to instal, etc.. close it, then go to "start" then the "run" box and type "SFC /SCANNOW" (without the "") .. this will run windows system file checker and can fix certain problems and currupted files.
