that's ok, nothing to be worried about.

Hello.

When I check those two files with sysedit, they appear to be empty. But when I look at the real files in System32 directory in Windows, they are not empty. They contain some code. But these files are there for backward compatibility purposes and they do not create a problem for running Windows. Maybe too old 16-bit programs may need them. But you do not see them nowadays.

What I suggest is, look at the files in your Windows\System32 directory. If you do not see anything in them, just leave them be.

It was an MS update that removed the files. See http://www.vtablet.com/windows_xp.htm
since I can't find the correct MS page.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

Sure - those files were used to configure DOS systems, but Windows hasn't "run on DOS" since WinME. The Sysedit app is a holdout from the Win31 days (about 14 years ago)

If I know the answer I'll tell you the answer, and if I don't, I'll just respond, cleverly
