OS: WinXP
CPU/Ram: 1.5GB
Product: D856GBF
Comment:

Original Status:
1) 3 partition(250gb;80gb,150gb,15gb)
2) Window XP
3) Sata

Problem:
Staring is that i can't boot the window.
After that i put another HDD into it as master. Then i didn;t backup 1st, strangely i used a XP installation cd to partition the new HDD, but i couldn't see the exact size. Then i smartly use the F6 function in the installation with an uncompatible driver(Stupid me),still didn't work. SO i used a WIN98 bootable diskette and fdisk, okay i can see all the partition then i create a new primary partition. When the system is Halfway allocation the restart because i just remember that i have a ghost inside the original disk. Okay after that i put the original disk in another pc as slave, when i boot up the window and go into my computer i saw only 3 drive/partition. My Master 2 partition my original disk 1 partition....>< where the hell did the other two more partition went!okay fine then when i double click the original disk partition its say the drive needed to be formated....what the hell there a whole bunch of data within those 3 partitions.

Okay here's this can some tell me why and give me solution to it.

I need a reason and solution badly could someone help me please! I really appreaciate your help, really!

"there a whole bunch of data within those 3 partitions."

Not any more there isn't.

Your comedy of errors saw to that. You need to stay focused when doing this kind of work.

If windows doesn't boot your first stop is recovery console and the utilities fixmbr and fixboot. Then is that doesn't work you move on to a repair install.

Using Fdisk from 98 means you used a utility that can't understand your larger drive capacity.

To make sure you are on the correct disk only have that one connected in the system. This prevents accidental mistakes.

You can try one of the data recovery programs available on the web to recovery your partitions and data.

Here are a couple of programs that you can use to 'try' and recovery some of your files.

PC Inspector (freeware)
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pcinsp...

Zero assumption Recovery
http://www.z-a-recovery.com
The demo is limited
It will only recover 'up to' four folders per run
But you can make multiple runs

Thanks for the help i'm now using Get Data Back NTFS V2.25 but not that perfect because it only recover 90% of my data plus it didn't get my vital data like mysql. The program got it but mysql(recover)got some error because of an uncomplete file within.

Hey but thanks for the links and help!
