I have been trying to mirror a second monitor to a
laptop - a Dell Inspiron 8100 - running WinXP Home edition.
I can connect the second monitor and extend the
desktop using the standard display panel, but I can't seem to get it to mirror the laptop screen onto the CRT monitor. Is this possible using WinXP?

- i'm a newbie to winXP, so sorry if this is easy

regards
matt

On my laptop, there is a key combination you have to press in order to make the laptop send the signal to the monitor. Try looking at each of your keys to see if it has a symbol for it (mine is two boxes, one over the other one...i guess these are the monitors). I have to press the function key and that key
