I have been running Win98 and using an Acer ScanPrisa 1240UT scanner which came with MiraScan 3.42. When I upgraded to Windows XP MiraScan 3.42 will not run. I was told to download MiraScan v3.423 from an Acer site. When I went to install, the Install Shield said that it is for parallel connection. I did not find a driver for USB connection which the Acer 1240UT uses. Any suggestions?
BTW, XP installed a generic scanner driver. It is adequate for most work, however it will not handle slides and transparancies, which it the point of using the 1240UT.
