Can somebody please recommend the best way to insert a picture into a word document after it has been typed out so that you can type around the picture so that it looks decent and fits in please as I have had to resort to bodge method like using text box's and using unnecessary white characters etc.? If anyone feels that this isnt relevant enough to win xp then could you please tell me of a forum I could go to as I couldnt find any on Google. Thanks, Much appreciated

Currently stored on a temporary webhost.

Click insert, file or clipart, insert. Right click the picture, format picture, layout tab.
You can adjust the size by selecting and dragging the corner.

I use Office 2003, and all I do is Insert >> Picture >> From file, browse to the location, select the picture and insert it.
Make sure your cursor is sitting where you want the picture inserted before clicking on the 'Insert' from the menu tab.
Note: This process is going to exponentially blow up the size of the document.

Thanks a lot for the helpful replies - Makes me angry when people on here are sarcastic and rude though as it's supposed to be a help forum and is generally very helpful. I have seen certain users be quite abrupt to many people and it's really quite unprofessional. Are they admin too?

Once the picture is inserted right click it and select "Properties." Here you can indicate how the text should react with the graphic.
It is very nice of correspondents to help you here but you should be encouraged to use the proper forum. The Word "Help" file and the little paper clip which loads when you open Word encourages questions and is also a wealth of informationRegards.
Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

All people here respond voluntarily, without any payment. Unless they have the solution to your problem in their mind, they search the web.The least they can expect from you, when you come here for help is that you at least have tried to find a solution yourself. Mainly by using the help function in the program and the most obvious searches on the web.
If you can't be bothered to search for a solution to your problems, why should anyone else. You haven't paid to get helped.

O.k maybe I didnt justify my reason for posting by saying that I have already searched but couldnt find out how to do it - yes this simple thing. I appreciate that people are on here are replying for free but with certain members it would seem that they are more concerned with trying to tell people that they havent bothered trying for themselves than actually helping that person. Everybody on this forum is of a different standard which is why some peoples questions may seem simple or obvious. I dont understand it, if people work on here for free then why do they become so irritated, it's not liked they have an obligation? Apart from anything else, it's unproductive. Maybe there should be an extra box to tick when posting a message saying whether or not that person has done any research on their subject prior to posting so that you know whether or not they are eligible for an apprehension.
