Hey everyone!

Whenever I open up Microsoft Word my margins are all screwed up (also, it opens up in landscape view).

I tried searching for normal.dot on my computer, but nothing came up in the search. How can I fix this?

Thanks!

K

Try going to Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab and setting it to 'Show hidden files and folders' and untick 'Hide protected operating system files' then search again.

Hey Hi Jinx,

Thanks for the prompt response. I just tried doing that and I'm still not seeing any normal.dot files.

This seems odd because earlier today when I tried to close out of Word it kept prompting me to save the Normal file. I believe I ending the file somewhere.

How else can I get around it?

Thanks,

K

Not too familiar with Windows' version of search, but you've gone to 'More advanced options' and checked 'search hidden files and folders'?

Katie Go to Add/Remove programs and click on MS Office then change. You will be prompted to repair at that point. Click repair. You may need your Office CD. This may clear your problem.
