Anyone had any problems with this mouse? I purchased this one back in January for my husbands laptop and was working fine till about a month ago. Now after sitting, or even when system is first turned on, mouse will not respond and will get message that a USB device is not recognized. Microsoft has info on this in knowledge base but their fix and also format/reload of XP has not helped situation. WOndering if I should continue trying to fix this or just get a different wireless mouse. Any opinions on the logitech wireless optical mouse?

I have had problems with wireless mice previously. Not withstanding the cleaning i still prefer mechanical ball mice.'

you might try powering the computer down and remove and re attach the part that hooks to the PC. another possibility might be the batteries in the optical mouse.

My daughter and I both had the MS mice and both had problems. Also had problems with
the corded optical from MS.
Changed to Logitech MX 700 wireless/optical
and have never had any problems. I think my daughter's is over 2 years and mine a little over a year old. I love it.
Good Luck.
