I used to get the following message popping up occasionally when browsing the internet. Now it comes up every time I close an Internet Explorer window. I use Internet Explorer 8 and have Microsoft Windows XP. I was told to uninstall the Google toolbar but that hasn't made a difference. Full error message reads:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Mircosoft Visual C++ Debug LibraryDebug Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
abnormal program termination
(Please Retry to debug the application)
-------------------------------------------------------------------Any suggestions? I've also tried re-setting Internet Explorer to it's default settings but that has also not made a difference.

Grrrr... ....more

I tried uninstalling IE8 but the same problem occurred with IE7. Re-installing IE8 had no effect either :o(

Also, I have another question. With IE8, there's the Google Add-On in the top right hand corner. Is this the same thing as the Google Toolbar?
The reason I ask is because I see no way of getting rid of the Google Add-On. I've selected Manage Add-Ons then clicked on Search Providers but the remove button is greyed out. There is no Google Toolbar on Add/Remove progams either? I was just wondering whether this could be the cause of the problem?
