Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard

Specs: Windows XP
I have Windows XP on my new computer but cannot get Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard to appear when I plug in my digital camera. It worked perfectly well on my old computer. I have spent many hours trying to solve the problem, to no avail! I have used the installation disc for the camera. I get the connection sound, but nothing else.

What was your old O.S. ???
Likely the old camera will not ever work, without Drivers for XP.
Check the Manufacture's website, for any XP drivers.

When I got XP, my old camera and scanner.went to junk parts, and printer installation CD was useless, but XP installed the
printer drivers.
Had to get new.

Plug in your camera. Click on Start>All Programs>Scanner and Camera Wizard. The Wizard should start. If you get an error message that the camera cannot be detected then you have a driver problem. You have to go to the camera manufacturer and download the proper driver for your camera. Most cameras are supported under XP but some are not. Do not be surprised if you cannot find a driver on the web for it. At that point you have to do what was suggested above. Chuck and replace.
