Microsoft Outlook problem

When I receive a email with a attachment which is a jpg image, but wants to open it with microsoft office picture the pictures don't show up they have little red X in the corner with no picture. If I save the attachment to my desktop and then open it with microsoft office picture it will show the picture. How can I get the image to show up by clicking on it in my email? This should be addressed in the Office forum, you also need to identify the version of Office/Outlook you are using. You also double posted here with another earlier post on attachments, this is not an acceptable practice. Richard
