I have used media player as my default player in the past. I installed A wonder pro TV card in my computer and now when I open up any kind of media file, the software with the TV card opens it up and not media player. I do not want this and want to get media player back as my default program. How do I do this? thanks everybody.

Hi Rich,

WindowsMediaPlayer>Tools menu>Options>
[File Types]

The documents(=mp3, wav, mpg, doc, ...) themselves determine which programs open them, by associating a program with their extension(=file type). You can change these 'Open With' programs manually via:
ControlPanel>Folder Options>File Types
Select the extension, and then press 'Change'.

Hope This Helps...

In WMP:
tools> options> filetypes

tick the boxes for all the media you want WMP to be the default player for.
