I have just started up my computer and after a minute or two, without having loaded any programs but just as the wireless internet connection loaded up, I received a warning that they system have recovered from a serious error.
I was then prompted to send an error report to Microsoft, which I dont usually do, but I did this time. My internet browser then popped up and told me that the 'Microsoft Windows Error Report was corrupted and that corrupted reports "can be caused by hardware or software problems, and they usually indicate a serious problem with your computer."
Naturally I am a little concerned by this - any advice as to what may have caused this, or what might be the source of the problem? I recently had a problem with spyware which I thought I'd solved (see posts 7&8 on this thread http://www.computing.net/answers/se... and my computer seems to be running as normal, but Im guessing that it might have something to do with this problem?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

sue_donym, perhaps I'm mistaken, it's my understanding that the 'report' was put there for the convenience of programmer/testers during development and is no longer used?
Be that as it may, did you disable 'restore' when you cleaned the nasty? If not, it likely got put back. Maybe you need to redo?
It's also possible (sorta rare, but happens) that the nasty somehow corrupted things while it was active. Most (but not all) nasties don't permanently alter files.
Possible you could use 'restore' to go back to a clean time?
