Microphone Mute Default

Every time I want to use my microphone, I have to go to Control/Sounds & Audio/ Audio/Sound Playback/Volume/Play Control/Options to uncheck Mute under Microphone. Is there any way of making the DEFAULT NOT MUTED?

Look in the soundcard contol panel and do the setting in there.

Your suggestion is what I have been doing. The problem is that as soon as I finish using the microphone, the PLAY CONTROL goes back to putting a check-mark in the MICROPHONE MUTE box.
