Hi everyone.Ive been checking the archives for my mic in problem but it seems its a popular problem and maybe there is no cure.I have a new Dell laptop that will be used for navigation and id like to listen to XM radio through it called XM PCR.XM PCR plugs into usb port and also plugs into mic in so you can hear the music.Problem is the volume when using mic in is way low and cannot be adjusted. All the other computer sounds are normal including mp3's and cd's and can be adjusted with volume control.I have plugged amped speakers directly into the XM PCR reciever box and it sounds great so I dont think its the XM PCR software.I have adjusted volume and mic properties and made sure nothing was muted.Maybe I missed something in there but I sure looked around.I have plugged a mic in and recorded onto sound recorder and it sounded loud and clear on playback.I have tried changing XM PCR compatibility to Win ME as XM PCR worked great on old laptop running ME when plugged into mic in.I updated sound card driver ( Sigma Tel ).I am stumped.Anyway hopefully someone has an idea.Thanx!!!
