Specs: Windows XP
Every time I open windows , an installtion window opens up and when I select ok , a message finally pop out that the MFEagent.msi is missing in the location. I have tried looking for it from the common framework of the McAFee installed location but I have been unable to get it. This installation window will keep on poping out every now and then, even after cancelling the insatallation.I have tried reloading the McAfee Viruscan Enterprise but to no avail. Please help to eradicate this problem

I get this response" The path ' c:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\McAfee\Common Framework\MFEagent.msi' cannot be found .Verify that you have access to this location and try again or try to find the installation package 'MFEagent.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product McAfee agent.

When I cancel the installation , I get this error message, Err 1714 older version of McAfee Agent cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.

Please note I am able to see this McAfee agent.msi in the common framework file , the above error message is after I run it from there.

mwaki, McAfee is notoriously difficult to get rid of. There're removers around (Google) or you can deliberately download it and look in it's folder. There's usually an uninstaller there which 'knows where all the bodies are buried' and can successfully remove them.
If, on the other hand, you really want(??) McAfee, you'll have all the requisite files.
