I believe MFC is Microsoft Foundation Class library for programming with Visual C++. If your msvcrt.dll is not in Windows\system32, where it should be, you can download it. Do a google search for it.

Are you getting an error message? What is it?

Or you can exract it...('98 SFC). Start >> Run >> Msconfig >> Expand file and specify the filename, source and destination.

You will need your XP disc.
