Hi, I'm trying to use partition magic Pro to merge my C and D partitions, formatted FAT32. I keep getting error 510, the version of the file system is not supported. I've checked both partitions with CHKDSK and they're fine. Any idea what the problem is?

Error 510

DESCRIPTION:

For some reason, the data type for the specified field cannot be determined. This may mean that the data dictionary is corrupted.

Try this
Control Panel > Admistrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Mangement
Use that to merge
Good luck

XP disk management is not made to do that (as far as i know). You could transform your disk to Dynamic volumes and have xp see them as one disk. Read the XP help file for more info.
