hi,
i recently bought a mercury web cam 3 in 1,,my i have a pci card for USB(PCI to USB),,when i first connected the data/power cable to my cam from PC it(camera) switched on then off,,this i am telling u after installing the drivers and all that stuff,,i thought that drivers must not be loaded properly so i again shut down my system and the same thing happened again camera switch on for 1 sec then automatically switches off,,i powered down my system ,,,,in an hour or so i again switched on but this time the cam was workng fine no changes states from on to off,,,but it does so sometimes,,,wheres the problem guys??

did xp need the drivers?

did xp not find the camera on its own?

do the drivers work with xp?

win xp did recognised the camera attached,,the drivers though not digitally signed but works fine with xp,,the problem only is camera goes on on startup and off again in 1sec.
