Hi i hope someone can help me with this problem. i had recently re-formatted my laptop as Windows was corrupted. After the reformat, i began to experience this problem "delay" in menus appearing... Eg in Msoft Outlook, when i left-click on "FILE", it takes at least 3 seconds for the dropdown menu to slowly appear. Similarly, if i right click on my email or files etc. This problem isn't only confined to Outlook... Eg when i right click on the files @ my start task bar (bottom of the screen), the menu takes ages to appear. can anyone pls advise? My IT Support guys are at a loss too.

Pls help! The delay is really annoying :( thanks in advance.

If you have Tweak UI installed open it click on "Mouse" (left side) and under "Menu Speed" move the slider to the left to speed the Menu Speed up. You can test the speed by right clicking the test icon.

If you don't have Tweak UI installed you can download Tweak UI at the link below. After you download and install it you'll find it in Start>Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI.

After you open it follow the instructions I posted above.
