My system is running very slow. When i check the performance with the Windows Task manager it shows 100% CPU usage, but when i check the active processes it does not show any significant memory hog.
I have run Norton Anti virus and the system came up clean.

Ad Aware & SpyBot, plus maybe trend online virus scanner is the way to go? What preceded all of this?

I checked the Task List Programs and it indicates that the file is essential to run Norton Internet Security. Other sites have indicated that this is a memory hog, but i have just recently been having the problem.
