I have a 200 gig internal hard drive with about 170 gig free space and an external 80 gig hard drive with over 30 gig of free space. I am trying to extract a 4 gig iso file and get the following error:
! C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\Desktop\F327961140997545-85161547-1766-re6mj9q4gs.zip: Write error in the file dvd.iso. Probably the disk is full
There is not enough space on the disk.
! C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\Desktop\F327961140997545-85161547-1766-re6mj9q4gs.zip: Write error in the file dvd.iso. Probably the disk is full. I tried the most up to date versions of winzip and winrar.
There is not enough space on the disk.
The file is good because my friend had no issues with it on his pc. The real kicker is that when I try to extract a different and larger iso from my external to internal drive, it works without a problem. This just makes no sense to me.

how is your c drive partitioned (do you have enough room on the "C" drive or is all the empty space on another drive ?

to zip (or unzip) a folder you will need twice as much file space to write the extracted file to (remember you must allow for the temp files that are created when extracting or compacting)the temp files will usually be deleted right away but the space is still required on the c drive (unless otherwise redirected to another drive)

try this
if your c drive is the 200 gig you will have about 24 gigs of space reserved for system restore points which you probibply only need about 2 gigs try moving the slider down to 1 or 2 percent as system restore only keeps restore points for 3 months anyway also change system restore to only monotore the drive with your operating system on it and you will get heaps oh space back on you other drives too
let us know how you went

FAT32???

You will get this message if you exceed the file size limit of FAT32 which is about 4gig.
