This is a time killer as I have an 80 GB HD. I want this OS to not check the hard drive when it boots. Any ideas?

When you say memory check, do you mean your RAM?

Or are you talking about a hard disk check?

If its RAM tne this can be changed in your BIOS (Check Manual)

If your system is running a disk check on each boot then you must have a problem
