Specs: Windows XP
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo laptop but when I put my memory card from my digital camera in the slot nothing happens. I have never used this slot before. What can be the problem?

Yours hopefully,

Moira Lindsay.

1 -- It is not imperative that something "happens" when you insert media. Assuming that this slot has a "permanent" drive letter, just "explore" that drive; I suspect the photo files will be there, (perhaps in a folder}.

2 -- If not, then the card may not be seated properly (or too much accumulated dust/dirt may prevent a proper connection).

Hello and thank you for replying. I havenĀ“t a clue how to explore the drive and hope you can explain.

Thanks again,

"explore" = use Explorer (or My Computer).

Or any other method of browsing/examining/looking through/scanning through the files on a Hard Drive, Floppy, CD, DVD, or other media.

Open "My Computer" by clicking on it... look for the name or drive letter of your card and double click it, the drive will open and you will see your files.
