Iv tryed for hours but to sort this out and cant as of yet get Windows Media player 9 to play wav files or and video files that contain raw audio, just the video will play?
Iv tryed the following:
Reinstalled windows repair reinstalled direct x9 reinstalled audio drivers. Installed SP2 Un installed all other audio players. Add new hardware and added all windows codecs.
Wave files play on other players such as the old media player but not on the main player.

tecy, Bring up Media player and right click Menu Bar, Select Tools and then Options, File Types. Put a check mark in the boxes for all the File Types you want the player to play. Click Apply and OK.

When I try to find a soloution to a problem such as this and have already spent hours on it I can normaly say windows has to be re installed from scratch but im hoping that somone may have a answer?
I do prefer to find the soloution so iv learnt somthink from it rather than just re install windows.
