My Windows Media Player 10 has stopped playing audio CD's on both of my drives. One dvd player, and other is dvd burner. Audio CD's play fine on other players itunes, real. But my main player is Media Player. I insert cd into drive. Close door. Drive reads disk. Media player loads and displays the tracks. Then it jumps from track to track displaying a ! mark highlighting each track in orange. Then displayes an error box. " Windows Media Player This operation cannot be performed because the filter is active. Close Web Help" Clicking Web Help displayes MS page stating "You've encountered error message 80040205 ...." no additional information available. I am running WinXP, Media Player10.00.00.4058, Norton 360. All upto date. I've checked and update if need the network driver, sound driver, mouse driver, graphics driver. Still problem continues. Please Help
