media player 9 started messing up

all of a sudden media player 9 has started messing up on my system. half the time when i minimize it, it crashes and i have to restart my computer. also, when i try to play videos they are really slow when they used to be ok.
duz any1 know wot i shud do? shud i try a system restore?

That's a good idea. It's also a smart thing you backed up before installing WMP 9. I don't think it's very stable. Go do the system restore. Remember that by doing this you will also have to reinstall any other programs you might have installed between the time when you installed WMP 9 and now.
