loading o/p system onto new hdd.asks for xp prof media centre disk2,when loaded message is:untranslatable message winlast error is 14001.cannot get past this problem

so you insert disk 2 and a error pops up?

yes this error pops up when disk2 has been loaded

you may need to try another copy of disk2.

or try a boot disk with cd support, copy the i368 folder from disk one and then copy the components folder from disk2 to the formatted c drive. run the winnt32 program with the allfolder command. see if that works.

or you can make a slipstream dvd with the disk2 folder on the same disk.
