mcafee manual update

Hi. When i double click on the xdat or the sdat for manual update (for mcafee virusscan), i get a popup that says "found no qualifying products", whereas i have already installed mcafee virusscan version 10 with no problems! So installation stops! I use winxp sp1. Any ideas?

Aris, firewall jumps to mind. Do you still have the built in XP one active? Do you need to 'allow' updates? HTH. Ed in Texas.

You may need to disable any popup stoppers as well, I believe McAfee uses ActiveX as well...........

First and foremost, ensure that you have downloaded the correct version of the .dat file. This error generally appears when there is a conflict between the versions. Keep The Passion Alive!
