Comment:

Building a system for my nephew and correcting an issue on my PC at around the same time - and mixed up his/my XP Home Upgrade CDs (after both installs were done with the correct CD).

Is there any way to match the package/book they gave you to the CD? Have been looking at the Product ID on the systems and trying to match it up to the actual CD etc, but not sure how it all works.

Help greatly appreciated

Joe

Download & install Aida32. It will tell you the product key used on that machine. You can match that with the product key for the CD.

If both CD's are XP Home Upgrade, the CD doesn't matter, as long as you get the product keys right for each machine.

Hope this helps.
