Hi
I'm trying to deploy XP + installed software on multiple PC's from an image. Each pc will have different components such as motherboards, cpu etc from the master pc. Is this possible?
These pc's will be given to customers along with their own copy of XP and all they should have to do is start up and enter the product key for their XP copy when activating it.

You never said what you were looking at deploying them with. Over all, I doubt you're going to be able to find a solution that covers a huge range of various motherboards and hardware. You'll probably have to have several images (one for each major difference). Also, if you are rolling out an image, they have to have a license for each image (which costs $$). Maybe try looking into Symantec Ghost, Microsoft's RIS, or SMS depending on exactly what you are trying to do....
