I have a user with a bran new Dell Laptop and her mapped network drives seem to disappear every other day or so and I have to remap them. I am setting it to reconnect at log in every time and I have been following the same standard work procedures that I have been for the lest year.

It seems that it happens more often when the user shutdown undocked then docked. Does any one have any idea of how I can fix it?

I was thinking it may be a corrupt windows profile but right now i don't want to consider recreating the profile as an option because of the software allocated to it. I have to call the vender to set it up.

Should a delete the docking profile and restore it?

Any idea would help I'm spinning my wheels hear.

Thanks!

I am also having similar problem recently waiting reply.

My problem is i run a logon.bat file which will add the network drive when the user log in.

Today when the user log in in one computer it is asking for the network admin password to connect to the drive.

I asked him to try on another computer and it is connecting to the network drive .

In the system that network drive was asking for the admin credentials .

I try to log in as admin and it connects the network drive.

I am puzzeled with this..

Any ideas ???

you can use a batch file and put in registry so it will not appear in start=>programs=>startup.

that batch file will map the network drive each time he login and does not ask for any input.

Do u think this will work??

if yes, i will help u further.
