Inside my comapny's network, I run batch files at users' logon to map drives, which we change periodiclly.
The batch files are located on a server share, and executed on the XP workstations.
We have just moved locations and updated our server hardware (not base OS), but now we can't seem to get these batch files to take affect on the workstations. They run but don't disconnect/re-map.
I am using the following statement(s) for several drive letters:
net use m: /d
net use m: \\server\share /yesThis batch file should delete anything mapped to the m:\ drive, then remap it with any new/updated share(s).
For some reason, even when we run these manually at the workstations, the batch files will not delete or map drives. When I map them manually, they connect OK, so there's no permission or network issues.
I'm kinda stumped here. Have there been any M$ updates on XP that may be affecting batch commands? I'm pulling at straws here.
