Hi, hope someone can help.
Whenever I boot my PC (winxp sp1), mapisp32.exe auto launches when I log on, it downloads my mail for outlook, and all the mail is sitting waiting in my inbox when I open my outlook2k.
This often happens before Norton updates itself and yesterday I had two viruses in inbox. Norton didn't remove as it hadn't updated yet and didn’t recognise them initially.Anyone know what is making mapisp auto run?
I have checked and there is nothing in msconfig, no switches/commands on OSA9, nothing listed under several start-up managers, no spyware, BHO’s, AD's, no Trojans/virus/ports open etc
Outlook when it was set up was configured for exchange and Internet mailI did uninstall SP2, but all else is well and the mapisp problem didn't start then
Thanks in advance
Steve

Click Start/Run and type 'services.msc' and hit enter. Look for mapisp and see if it is set to automatic. If so, right click it into properties and change it's startup configuration to either disabled or manual.

I already looked for it, it's not there...
Nor can I find any referance to Windows Messaging Subsystem in services.msc,
Can anyone see mapisp32 running as a service on their PC?
If not, does anyone know what windows calls this service.
Have spent ages on google, no luck
