Manifest Parse Error during XP install

I'm trying to install Windows XP professional (upgrading from W2K) but during the installation (when it shows 39 mins left) it comes up with a Fatal Error (Manifest Parse Error: Invalid at the top level of Document. ONe of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed). Is this an issue related to burnt cds not copied properly? Has anyone had this issue and been able to fix it? Thanks.

Thanks LANDog, I have a silly question - what if I reburn the CD I have (the one that gives me the error) using EasyCD creator 5 - will it solve the problem? Or do I need to burn from a fresh copy? thanks.
