The question might need more explanation.
I guess you could get GRUB to do it. I know GRUB understands networks of some sort but if they can actually map a drive I am not sure. I'd bet if you were sharp enough you could get it to work.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

I think there may be some confusion concering mapped drives vs partitions.
You have the abiltiy via MMC to manage the disks of any pc/server you have right to attach to. Its free and builtin.
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

I don't think using a partition manager over a network is very wise or practical.
Summary: you will need a thrid party program such as Partition Magic or Ranish Partition Manager. Partition Magic is not not free but it's very easy to use. Ranish is free but there is a little learning curve....
