now I don't have XP on my computer and know nothing about. But my sister just got XP home and says lettering or words small. How can you make them bigger? Thank you all for your help.

David, Have her click on "View"/"Text Size" and change it to a larger size. If that doesn't correct the problem post back.

David, She could also right click her desktop, choose "Properties" and under the "Settings" tab change the "Screen Resolution" to a smaller number (e.g. 800 X 600) by using the slider and moving it to the left, click Apply/OK

If it's internet explorer, she can hold down the control button, and use the mouse scroll key to scroll it up and down.

Changing resolution to a smaller resolution would make everything look better, but that's because it "zooms" in. You'll notice you have less desktop space. To adjust the text size, you can:

right-click the desktop, and select Properties. Then click on Settings, then click on Advanced. Now click on General, and choose a different DPI setting. You can even choose custom, and adjust the text to the way you like it.

if she has a scroll mouse she can hold the ctrl button down on the keyboard and roll the scroll button on her mouse to enlarge or diminish the font size on her monitor.

Works in all browsers I've tried, by the way.
