Does anyone know how I can make a new windows xp install cd, on which I can put newer drivers, and windows automatically uses those drivers on setup. For example I have a Geforce 2gts, when xp installs it uses version 20.xxx of the driver, I would like to replace that driver with the newest, and this for all my hardware. I'm planning on making a bootable windows xp cd on which sp1 is slipstreamed and where all the latest drivers are on.

About the best you can hope to do is to set up your OS exactly how you want it inclusive of SP1 and all the updated drivers and then make an image on CD using Ghost or Drive Image.

not quite true.
about the best you can do is:-get a copy of wincdman (berns.cae.wisc.edu/pages/wincdman.asp).
that's a batch-based tool for creating slipstreamed winXP/2K - SPwhatever - the drivers you need - CDs.-get your winXP CD (must be the CD, because wincdman extracts the bootsector)
-get the actual SP
-slipstream XP using wincdman
-when it gets to saying "Now you can insert your own files" or something like that, go to the temp directory you chose earlier on, create a directory "$OEM$" in the root of that dir, a directory "$$" in the "$OEM$" one, and finally a directory "Drivers" in the "$$" one. You could also create a structure like "net", "audio" and so on in the "drivers" dir.
-copy all the drivers you need into the "Drivers" dir.
-search for a file called "winnt.sif" in the "i386" dir and open in notepad.
-in the section "[unattended]", add (or edit) a line beginning with "OEMPnpDriversPath=" so it includes "%windir%\drivers" (wich is the "drivers" dir you created earlier) as well as all the subdirectories.
-you should also add a line "DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore" to avoid unneccessary errors.
-save the file.
-continue with wincdman
this leaves you with with an ISO image you can then burn to a CD.
Actually, this sounds far more complicated than it really is. Just give it a try.
You could also check www.nu2.nu for more stuff on the subject.
