Mobo's site says:

Type FORMAT A:/S at the DOS prompt to create a bootable system floppy disk.

DO NOT copy AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS to the disk.

Also said something about doing it through add/remove programs in control panel.. I didn't see anything for making a boot disk. The option for formating it from windows (msdos startup disk) put a bunch of files on it, and I thought thats what they didn't want?

The /s brings up something about being invalid. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can get this done?

Thanks,

Scott

Any DOS boot disk should do. What version of Windows are you using?

xp pro. So your saying that using the option for an MSDOS startup disk will work? I did that but It still had the AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS files on it. Just delete them I guess?

Thanks for the reply also

Go to http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm download a windows 98 boot disk...use that one to boot up. Copy the new BIOS into another floppy. Once you booted in with the 98, switch the floppy and follow the intruction for flashing BIOS

The Create Starup disk in Win XP will work fine. Just delete the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys files. This leaves plenty of room to copy the BIOS files. No need to mess around with swapping floppy disks.
